Ta‌̱mpi‌̱let:PubMed Central link/doc

Neet di̱ Wikipedia

Makes a link to PubMed Central, a free digital database of full-text scientific literature in biomedical and life sciences, from a PMC identifier. The identifier is rendered using much of the same code that renders |pmc= in Citation Style 1 and Citation Style 2 templates except that this template can be used to render multiple PMC identifiers.

This template accepts these parameters:

|idn= – a PMC identifier; the |idn= parameter name is not required but is recommended for clarity when the template has multiple identifiers
|pmc-embargo-daten= – for embargoed PMC identifier; specifies the end-date of the embargo period
|link= – accepts a single value no; for use when the 'PMC ' prefix in the rendering should not be linked
|plainlink= – accepts a single value yes; suppresses the 'PMC ' prefix in the rendering
|leadout= – defines the conjunction between the last two identifiers in the rendered list; defaults to ,

The basic form is:

{{pmc|id=137841}}PMC 137841

To unlink the prefix:

{{pmc|id=137841|link=no}}PMC 137841

To suppress the prefix:

{{pmc|id=137841|plainlink=yes}}137841

For instructions on how to use Wikipedia to automatically expand a PMC into a full reference complete with article title, author(s), date, journal name, volume, issue, page numbers, etc., please see User:Citation bot/use. Alternatively, Diberri's Wikipedia template filling tool can generate a fully populated {{cite journal}} markup using the PMC article number. https://citation-template-filling.toolforge.org/cgi-bin/index.cgi

Because this template uses the same code as cs1|2 templates, error and maintenance visibility is controlled the same way. See Help:CS1 errors § Controlling error message display.
