English: The union between Moldavians and Wallachians (1506). In the middle: prince Bogdan cel Chior of Moldavia and prince Radu cel Mare of Wallachia.

The two flags are supposed to be the national ones:

  • Blue and red for Moldavia
  • Blue and yellow for Wallachia
This is historically inacurate, as the two colors were established only in the XIXth century. However, this painting symbolises two things: the union and brotherhood between Moldavian Romanians and Wallachian Romanians and also an explenation for the colours of the Romanian flag (the legend of merging the flags of Wallachia and Moldavia).
Esperanto: Constantin Lecca: "Moldavoj kaj Muntenianoj iĝas fratoj".
Lietuvių: Constantin Lecca: „Moldavai ir muntenai tapo broliais“.
